I have been wanting to make a sail boat baby quilt forever! I liked all the ones I saw online, but something was always a little off (for my liking). I decided that I wanted my sails to be capable of moving so they looked like they were blowing in the ocean breeze. It took me a while to figure it out, but I am very happy with the final product.
I used blues and put a couple strips across the bottom for water.
This was hand quilted on my machine using my free-motion foot. I quilted swirls around the boats to look like wind blowing.
Soft blue flannel for the back.
