Can a hedgehog ever be cute? When I saw this fabric I decided they could be. This quilt was made from fat quarters except for the royal blue which is 1/2 yard so that I could use it for the binding.

Sail Boat Baby Quilt
I have been wanting to make a sail boat baby quilt forever! I liked all the ones I saw online, but something was always a little off (for my liking). I decided that I wanted my sails to be capable of moving so they looked like they were blowing in the ocean breeze. It took me a while to figure it out, but I am very happy with the final product.

Minky rag quilt
One of our readers used our tutorial to make an adorable rag quilt! It is just too cute to not share! Here is her advice for her lettering (they looked so perfect!),
For the letters I wound up printing out the name on my computer on regular paper, tracing them reversed on the back of the paper, and cut the out. For the fabric I used a fusible interfacing first and then carefully pinned them and cut them out. Then I hand basted them on and then machine stitched them. For my first name I got a lot of practice since it was a long one! :)

Zebra Triangle Baby Quilt
After my last triangle quilt attempt MODERN TRIANGLE QUILT, I thought I had sworn off ever attempting to do another! But of course all the cute triangle quilts all over pinterest were calling to me. I couldn't help myself, I had to try out another, and I thought that this time, it wouldn't be as difficult.. Let's just say that angles, of any type are hard... Luckily this was just a baby quilt, so I didn't have to put together too many triangles.

Elephant Baby Quilt
Stamp quilts are so much fun! I started cutting this quilt out while my machine was in the shop. I was bored and decided to try and use up some fabric that I had left over from other projects. I liked making this quilt because I got to show off some fun fabrics and use some fun colors. This elephant fabric is the girl version from my SIMPLE BABY QUILT

April Wall Hanging
Let's go fly a kite!
My mom helped me design this adorable wall hanging for April/Spring.
I made the kite a little too complicated for myself, but other than that, it was simple.
I love all these happy colors and I love the two dimensional look it has!
I'm thinking about making new bunting, but the St. Patrick's green is kind of working with it!
If you'd like the basic tutorial for the background of this wall hanging, check out this post-

Rainy Day Baby Quilt
I haven't posted for a long, LONG time! I've been super busy trying to set up an etsy page and creating piles of baby quilts (see above pile).
I'm super excited to show off a few new creations.
First I've got my rainy day baby quilt, I love these colors! They are so soothing. When I saw the raindrop print, I just had to have it. I made this as a baby boy quilt, but I think it could work as a girl quilt too. This will be the first item in my shop.
Simple Flower Applique
Who doesn't love flowers? Another quilt completed on Ray and my quilting week extravaganza. These are machine appliqued on to the fun squares. These squares are the left-overs of other quilts and I think they went together quite nicely.
Super Easy Puffy Quilt
Super soft & fun baby quilt! This is a fun and simple way to showcase fabric with big designs Want to make your own?? Find the pattern below. |
